WE SEE IT WITH NEW OPPORTUNITIES. GOD, WE. MAY WE BE EVER THANKFUL FOR ALL OF THE RESOURCES THAT WE HAVE IN THIS RICH DISTRICT THAT WE ALL SERVE IN. AND SO MAY WE EVER BE MINDFUL THAT IT'S A PRIVILEGE TO SERVE OUR STUDENTS, OUR STAFF, OUR FAMILIES, AND THAT WE GIVE IT THE UTMOST GRAVITY THAT IT DESERVES? SO I'M ANGIE, THOR, AND I WILL TRY TO MAKE. DON'T START ME YET BECAUSE I'M.
THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK THIS EVENING. AS YOU KNOW, YOU WERE TASKED WITH THE RESPONSIBILITY THAT MOST SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS IN THE STATE NEVER EXPERIENCE NAMING A NEW SUPERINTENDENT. THIS DECISION AFFECTS NOT ONLY THE CURRENT AND FUTURE EDUCATION OF OUR STUDENTS, BUT ALSO THE LONG TERM SUCCESS OF OUR ENTIRE COMMUNITY.
MISD IS SPECIAL. IT IS ALWAYS VALUED EDUCATION.
MISD STEPPED UP BECAUSE IT RECOGNIZED THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION.
THAT VALUE STILL STANDS TODAY. VOTERS ACROSS ALL OF OUR CITIES CONSISTENTLY SUPPORT THIS DISTRICT, INCLUDING THROUGH THE PENNY SWAP THAT PROVIDES FUNDING FOR THE OUTSTANDING SCHOOLS AND BONDS FOR THE FACILITIES THAT WE HAVE TODAY. SINCE 2004, I HAVE LIVED IN MANSFIELD AND HAVE WATCHED THIS DISTRICT GROW AND CHANGE.
I'VE SEEN BOARD MEMBERS LIKE RAUL GONZALEZ AND MICHAEL EVANS FIGHT FOR ALL STUDENTS FROM ALL THE CITIES THAT FEED INTO MISD FOR MR., NEWSOM TO DOCTOR MORRISON TO DOCTOR REED TO DOCTOR CANTU.
OUR DISTRICT HAS CONTINUED TO IMPROVE AND INNOVATE.
THAT INNOVATION IS ALSO WHAT BRINGS BUSINESS AND CORPORATIONS TO THIS AREA.
OTHER DISTRICTS MAY SEND EMPLOYEES HERE TO LEARN WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL.
LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN. DISTRICTS COME TO LEARN FROM US.
I WOULD LIKE TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND DOCTOR SEAN SCOTT.
I'VE KNOWN HIM SINCE 2012 WHEN HE OPENED ONE OF OUR HIGH SCHOOLS.
DESPITE THE SIZE OF THE CAMPUS, IT FELT LIKE A FAMILY.

I CANNOT IMAGINE ANYONE BETTER SUITED TO TAKE OUR DISTRICT TO THE NEXT LEVEL.I'M A REALTOR AND THE NUMBER 1 REASON PEOPLE MOVE TO THIS AREA IS THE SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
THIS DECISION MATTERS. I ATTENDED SEVERAL SUPERINTENDENT FORUMS, INCLUDING ONE AT TIMBERVIEW WHERE I ARRIVED, WHERE I ARRIVED 30 MINUTES LATE AND IT WAS ALREADY OVER.
DUE TO LOW ATTENDANCE AS I SHARED WITH DOCTOR HINOJOSA AND HE AGREED, THIS LEVEL OF TURNOUT SUGGESTS PEOPLE ARE GENERALLY SATISFIED WITH THE DIRECTION OF OUR DISTRICT. I LOVE MISD. I'VE SERVED AS A SUBSTITUTE TEACHER, VOLUNTEERED ON COUNTLESS COMMITTEES, AND LED BOTH THE BOND PAC AND PENNY SWAP PAC.
I AM PASSIONATE BECAUSE I CARE DEEPLY ABOUT THIS DISTRICT.
MISD IS STRONG TODAY BECAUSE OF STEADY LEADERSHIP AND SHARED VALUES, AND I BELIEVE DOCTOR SEAN SCOTT IS THE RIGHT LEADER TO PROTECT WHAT MAKES THIS DISTRICT EXCEPTIONAL WHILE CONTINUING TO MOVE IT FORWARD.

THE LEADERSHIP PROFILE YOU APPROVED EMPHASIZES CONTINUITY, COLLABORATION, INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP, AND DEEP KNOWLEDGE OF THE DISTRICT AND COMMUNITY.
DOCTOR SCOTT DEMONSTRATES ALL THESE QUALITIES.
HE'S A CLEAR EXAMPLE OF THE MANSFIELD GROW OUR OWN PROGRAM.
THIS PROGRAM REFLECTS YEARS OF INTENTIONAL WORK TO DEVELOP EDUCATORS AND LEADERS FROM WITHIN.
IT SUPPORTS PARAPROFESSIONALS BECOMING TEACHERS, TEACHERS GROWING INTO LEADERSHIP ROLES, AND ADMINISTRATORS BEING MENTORED FOR GREATER RESPONSIBILITY. THIS PROGRAM IS BUILT ON COLLABORATION, TRUST, AND LONG TERM INVESTMENT IN PEOPLE.
RESEARCH SHOWS THAT STRONG MENTORSHIP AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS IMPROVE RETENTION.
THEY DIVERSIFY THE WORKFORCE AND BUILD TRUST WITHIN SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES.
DOCTOR SCOTT HAS BEEN CENTRAL TO SUSTAINING THAT CULTURE AS DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT.
HE PROVIDES INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP, OPERATIONAL OVERSIGHT AND CONTINUITY ACROSS THE DISTRICT.

I REFLECT THAT QUITE OFTEN LARGE CROWDS FORM WHEN THERE ARE UNHAPPY PARENTS, CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES. I FIRST MET DOCTOR SCOTT WHEN HE WAS HIRED TO OPEN LAKE RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL, AND I HAVE FOLLOWED HIM, AND THAT'S WHEN I SAY I. THAT'S ME AND BETH BOTH HAVE FOLLOWED HIS CAREER AS HE ADVANCED THROUGH VARIOUS LEADERSHIP ROLES WITHIN THE DISTRICT.HIS EXPERIENCE INCLUDES SEVERAL SERVING AS HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL, DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS SERVICES, ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF TECHNOLOGY, ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT, AND PROMOTED AS ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF CURRICULUM, INSTRUCTION AND ACCOUNTABILITY.
